Our Mission

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the American Detection Dog Foundation is to establish and run a working dog breeding and raising program in the United States. Our program will help to enhance public and community safety by supporting canine detection, search and rescue tracking programs, and promoting best practice and model civic policy for use of canines by public safety organizations.

Blumenthal explained that he was “surprised” to discover that “the vast majority of our working dogs are actually born and bred in Europe, which raises costs and puts us in competition with other countries.”
